Hello everyone! I can't believe I am finally posting my first post on Walking the Tightrope! I am so thankful that God put this on my heart to share His heart and message through the medium of writing. The mission of this blog is explained more in-depth under the "About" page, but ultimately this blog serves to illustrate and explain the truth behind living a life while following Jesus. I still struggle with saying "yes" to God and I often find excuses to ignore what God is asking me to do. Therefore, I am hoping that you and I will both learn to say "yes" to Him together. To walk through the fire with Him is something that I have not done often because of my fear of persecution and uncertainty. However, I am hoping this blog is the start of an adventure filled, God-filled journey (even if it is through the valley of fire).
Experiencing God's reckless and genuine love is something that I can not live without. His love is the only thing that gets me out of bed and through the day. I mean it. Living a life absent of God's love and hope is not a life worth living. God IS life. God IS love. Without Him, we really are just vessels that breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide. Romans 6:14 say that by offering yourself as an instrument of righteousness to God that "sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under law, but under GRACE". That is the thing about our Heavenly Father, He frees us in the way we need it most. His love is what makes me feel most alive and thankful for even the darkest of times because I know that He is there for me and is using me for a greater purpose than myself.
This journey with God will not be easy, but it will be worth it.
