Hello, beautiful people! My name is Samantha and I am so happy that you guys found this blog!

           My mission is to provide resources as well as my own experiences with and about the Christian faith. This includes books, music, sermons, including some of my own articles, etc.

           I hope to instill in others the fiery passion for the pursuit of truth. The Christian faith is often portrayed simply by the Church which is plainly not true. Though the advertised version of a life following Christ seems simple (i.e. “follow Christ and everything will right itself), there is incredible depth and challenges to living a life lead by Christ. It is a certain Complex Simplicity. It is true, everything will right itself when living through God, but some churches often neglect to mention that persecution and temptation lurk around every corner and jump at the chance to attack when you achieve a milestone in your relationship with God. This persecution and temptation is one of the main reasons many Christians go to church on Sundays, but live lives absent of God the other days of the week. It is just easier that way.

          In addition, many people of the Christian faith tend to turn the Bible inside out to make the Word fit their own personal agenda and beliefs. Some want the gifts and life in Heaven after death, but don’t want to face the ugliest parts of themselves in order to thrive in a life for God. I, myself, have been guilty of this. I think many of us are guilty of this.

I hope to shed light on what the Bible actually says about certain situations so that we may fight to live a fulfilled life, even if that means letting go of certain aspects of life that are comfortable.

          The Bible is a living, breathing, relevant piece of text that reveals the heart of our Lord and I am so excited to tell the world about our Heavenly Father.
